Andrea De La Rosa Finishes Second in Live in Louisville Cross Country Classic
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Bethel's Andrea De La Rosa finished second out of 401 runners with a time of 18:38 in the Live at Louisville Cross Country Classic Saturday. It marked De La Rosa's highest finish at the Live in Louisville meet.
Monserrat Serrano finished 39th with a time of 19:52, Cecilia Tellez 93rd, Mackenzie Bennett 200th, Hailey Wallace 229th and Allie Chappell 238th.
The team finished 19th out of fifty teams.
Coach Brandon Kilburn commented, "Andrea ran such a great race. She was patient and made a late move to lock up second place. Overall, I thought we competed, but we would have liked to have been a little better team wise. We are battling some injuries as is every team in America right now, but we will have an off week before back-to-back race weekends in mid-October. "
