Experienced Women’s Cross Country Team Looks Forward to Season

MCKENZIE, Tenn. -The Bethel University women's cross-country team will bring back a majority of their top five runners from last season. Two-time defending conference champion and NAIA All-American Andrea De La Rosa will return for her fifth year as she pursues a masters degree. De La Rosa is four time all conference, all-freshman team, four -time national qualifier and holds 10 school records between cross country and track.

The Lady Wildcats will have to replace graduating seniors Russia Pyle and Olivia Plunkett. International transfer Monserrat Serrano, Freshmen Gaycie Watson and Addie Roberson will look to step in and make immediate impacts. Returning seniors Cecillia Tellez and Mackenzie Bennett who were the two and three runners from last season's team are back. Tellez was an all-conference performer last year.

Coach Brandon Kilburn commented, "I am very excited about the girl's squad for the upcoming season. We have several talented runners and even this late there is still a possibility we add to that. Obviously, it was a huge boost to have Andrea choose to come back and use her Covid year. I hope we are able to make the next step from where we left off last season."
