Volleyball Signs Waverly Central Standout

Waverly, Tenn- The Bethel Volleyball team continues their 2024 recruiting campaign by landing Waverly Central High School standout Karlee Hedin. She is the daughter of Keith and Jennifer Hedin. Not only is she outstanding on the volleyball court but she is sporting a 4.0 GPA.

Hedin brings multiple years of playing experience to Bethel. She not only played all four of her years at Waverly Central, but she also competed at the Waverly Junior High School during her time there. She was also a member of the River Pearls Volleyball Club from 2016-2022. She was the TSSAA All District player four years in a row, the TSSAA Tournament player in 2024, and was a candidate for The Tennessean "Player of the Year" honors.

Off the court, Hedin is currently top of her class. She is a part of many prestigious honor clubs at her school including Beta, CTE Honors Society, TN Tri-Star, FFA and she is going to be the Waverly Central High school Valedictorian.

Hedin says one of her most memorable playing experiences is when they beat one of their biggest rivals, the Camden Lions, and everybody in the stands came out on the floor to celebrate the victory with the team.

She claims one of her biggest strengths is bringing a positive attitude on the floor and being able to make quick decisions while on the court. She hopes to improve her back row passing and her ability to place her hits in the different zones accurately.

Coach Cupples had the following to say:

"Karlee is a great addition to the program. We look forward to getting her on campus in the fall and seeing her game develop at the next level."
