Volleyball Avenges Earlier Loss to UT Southern
MCKENZIE, Tenn. –The Bethel Lady Wildcats tipped off their three- game week with a non-conference tilt Tuesday night hosting long-time rival UT Southern. The Cats were attempting to snap a five game losing streak.
UTS had beaten Bethel 3-1 in Pulaski back in August.
Set one saw the Lady Cats lead 15-13 but UTS took a 15-19 margin. Bethel fought back to tie the set at 20 all. The FireHawks won 24-26.
The Lady Cats seized control early in the second set and won 25-13.
The Cats followed that up with a 25-16 victory in set three.
In a nailbiter, the Cats took set four 25-22 to win the match 3-1.

The Wildcats moved to 8-12 while UTS fell to 12-10 on the season.
The Cats jump back into action Thursday and Saturday with MSC play. The Cats host Georgetown Thursday at 7 p.m. They entertain the University of the Cumberlands Saturday at 2 p.m. It will be Senior Day with pregame ceremonies beginning at 2 p.m.
