Volleyball Loses Home Match to Cumberland University

MCKENZIE, Tenn. –The Bethel Lady Wildcats dropped their fifth straight match falling to visiting Cumberland University 3-2 Thursday night.

After winning the first set 25-9, the Cats fell 19-25, 17-25 and 18-25 in the next three sets.

Bethel's Dominka Skoneczna had 10 kills and 16 digs. Madelyn Woods contributed with 15 digs. Sami Parker had 14 digs. Setareh Valibeygi finished with 20 assists.  

Bethel dropped to 7-12 and 2-5 in the MSC.

Cumberland improved to 13-14 and 4-3.

The two teams met earlier this season in Lebanon with the Phoenix winning 3-2.

It was the 36th meeting between the two programs. CU leads the series 19-17.

The Wildcats are back in action Tuesday hosting long-time rival UT Southern at 6 p.m.
