Volley Cats Lose in Five Sets at Cumberland University

LEBANON, Tenn. – The Volley Cats and the Cumberland University Phoenix fought to the bitter end in their match in Lebanon Saturday. The Phoenix won the first two sets (28-26, 25-23) only to see the Cats fight back and win the next two sets (25-23, 25-23). CU captured the decisive set, 15-11.

Bethel dropped to 5-7 and 1-1 while Cumberland improved to 11-11 and 2-0 in the league.

Bethel's Setareh Valibeygi had 34 assists and 11 digs. Gabriela Dominguez had 15 kills and 13 digs.

Sami Parker contributed with 17 digs while Dominika Skoneczna had 11 kills and 11 digs.

The Wildcats are back in action Tuesday in Crisp Arena hosting Brescia at 6 p.m.
