Volleyball Sweeps FHU in Crisp Arena

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – With a mix of newcomers and returning veterans, Coach Starla Cupples had been waiting for her Lady Wildcats to jell. Based on their performance in Crisp Arena Tuesday night, that wait could very well be over.

The Cats swept longtime rival Freed-Hardeman winning 25-15, 25-21 and 25-17.

It was the 44th meeting between the two programs with FHU holding a 23-21 advantage in the series.

The Lady Wildcats moved to 4-6 on the season while the Lions fell to 8-3. It was Bethel's MSC opener.

Dominika Skoneczna led the Bethel attack with 12 kills and 16 digs. Nuria Calvo had 11 kills. Setareh Valibeygi had another solid outing with 25 assists and 14 digs. Sami Parker finished with 16 digs. Gabriela Dominquez had 13 digs.

Bethel is back in action Tuesday traveling to Jackson to face Lane College.
