Volley Cats Open Season with Road Loss at Blue Mountain

BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. –The Bethel Lady Wildcats opened the regular season Friday against former SSAC foe Blue Mountain Christian University in Blue Mountain.

The Toppers, coming off the best record in school history at 34-3 last year, looked strong again with a 3-0 win over the Cats.

The Toppers entered the season receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25 Coaches preseason poll.

BMCU won 25-20, 25-17 and 25-16.

Newcomer Setareh Valibeygi led Bethel with 20 assists and 10 digs. Dominika Skoneczna had a team high six kills.

Bethel is back in action Thursday in another non-conference affair traveling to UT Southern.
