Mid-South Conference Women’s Tennis Honors Announced-Big Day for BU Women’s Program

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Mid-South Conference announced its 2024 women's tennis All-MSC teams and individual honors on Wednesday.

Bethel's (Tenn.) Edisa Hot was named the MSC Women's Tennis Player of the Year while Sofia Canto earned Freshman of the Year honors. Bethel's Derrick Hubble was voted the MSC Coach of the Year by his peers. Lindsey Wilson's Santiago Bracco earned Assistant Coach of the Year honors.

Hot was a perfect 6-0 against conference competition this season at No. 1 singles. She teamed up with Sofija Rajic in doubles and went 5-1 in the MSC. Hot and Rajic were 2-1 at No. 1 doubles and 3-0 at No. 2 doubles.

Canto in her freshman campaign with the Wildcats went 5-1 in the conference at No. 2 singles. She posted a 2-4 doubles record with Marina Zotelli playing at all three doubles positions.

Hubble led the Wildcats to a 5-1 record in the MSC earning the No. 2 seed in the tournament.

Bracco helped lead Lindsey Wilson to the regular season championship with a 6-0 record in the conference.

Hot and Canto highlight the seven-person first team all-conference list selected by the conference coaches. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own players. An additional eight players earned second team honors.
