Women’s Tennis Signs Serbian Standout

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – Coach Derrick Hubble continued his off-season signing surge with the signing of Sofija Rajic. Sofija is the daughter of Teodor and Sandra Rajic of Belgrade, Serbia and will major in Political Science and Government.

Sofija has won 20 tournaments and appeared in many finals in her career. She played for the Hoosac High School team in New York where she was undefeated on the year. She also played in two tournaments in Boston and was 2-0 in those matches.

Rajic has been active with organizations volunteering for charitable causes.

Sofija feels her biggest strengths are her backhand and her passion to play. She chose Bethel over several top ten nationally ranked programs.

Coach Hubble was pleased with the decision. "We are thrilled to add Sofija to our program. She is a quality player and knows how to win. I look forward to her arriving and being a big part of our efforts in the years to come."
