Lady Cats Face No. 1 Ranked Cumberlands (KY) in MSC Semi-finals

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. - The No. 4 Seeded Bethel Lady Cats stayed alive in the Mid-South Conference Championships tournament with a 2-1 home quarterfinal win over Lindsey Wilson Friday.

 Bethel moved to 9-6 on the season and advanced to take on No. 1 seeded and No. 1 ranked the University of the Cumberlands Monday in Williamsburg in the semi-finals. The action gets underway at 3 p.m. CT.

Briley Ross knocked in a goal after an assist by Ainhoa Chirivella at the 24:34 mark.

Chirivella scored twelve minutes later on an assist by Addison Schumacher.

Bethel outshot the Raiders 15-5 and had a 10-3 advantage in shots on goal.

Cumberlands is 15-0 on the season. The Patriots beat Bethel 6-1 in early October in Williamsburg.

It will be the eighth meeting between the two programs. UC leads the series 4-2-1. Bethel's last win against the Patiots was in 2018.
