Women’s Soccer Loses in Final Minutes to No. 18 Georgia Gwinnett

MCKENZIE, Tenn. -The (RV) Bethel Lady Wildcats played a rare Sunday afternoon game Sunday playing host to No. 18 Georgia Gwinnett.

Despite a 7-1 advantage in shots and a 4-1 margin in shots on goal, the Wildcats found themselves locked in a scoreless deadlock after the first period.

The teams remained scoreless until the 86:53 mark. Georgia Gwinnett's Auora Miglio scored to give the Grizzlies a 1-nil victory.

Bethel finished with a 9-6 margin in shots, but GG finished with more shots on goal with a 5-4 advantage.

GG win snapped a three-game losing skid and moved to 8-5-1. Bethel dropped to 7-4-0. The Cats have dropped two of their last three outings.

The Lady Wildcats jump back into MSC play Wednesday, October 23 traveling to Cumberland University. It will be the first of three straight league games to close out the regular season.
