
Lady Cats Fall at # 1 the University of the Cumberlands
WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. – The (RV) Bethel Lady Wildcats fell to the # 1 ranked Lady Patriots of the University of the Cumberlands Thursday night in Williamsburg.
The Pats scored four goals in the first period to lead 4-1 at the break. UC scored two goals in the second period to win 6-1.
Audrey LaRue scored Bethel's only goal in the first period. LaRue's goal came as a result of an assist from Carla Cebollada.
The Pats had a 22-9 advantage in shots and a 11-7 margin in shots on goal.
Cumberlands moved to 9-0-0 and 1-0 in the league. Bethel had their five-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 6-3-0 and 1-1 in the MSC.
The Pats have won four of the last five meetings. The other game ended in a tie.
The Lady Cats return home next Thursday to face Georgetown at 5:30 p.m.
