
First Period Scoring & Strong Defense Propels Lady Cats to Victory
MOBILE, Ala. – A strong first period and a dominating defense propelled the Bethel Lady Wildcats to a 3-nil victory over the Mobile Rams Tuesday. The No. 24 Cats moved to 3-2-0 while the Rams dropped to 2-1-1. It was the 14th meeting between the two programs. Mobile leads the series 9-5.
It was the second win in a row in Mobile for Bethel. The Lady Cat beat Thomas 4-2 Saturday night.
Bethel's Ainhoa Chirivella scored two goals in the first period. Briley Ross had the assist on the first score. Carla Cebollada had the other goal after an assist from Hailey Hibbeler.
Bethel outshot Mobile 19-3 and had a 7-1 advantage in shots on goal.
Bethel returns home to host Brewton-Parker Thursday at 5 p.m.
