Lady Wildcats Beat Olivet Nazarene in Home Opener
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The No. 15 Bethel Lady Wildcats snapped back from a 5-0 season opening loss at Life University playing host to the (RV) Olivet Nazarene Tigers Monday.
The Cats beat the Tigers 2-1 to even their record to 1-1 on the young season.
ONU dropped to 0-2 on the season.
Elle Carson scored two first period goals to give Bethel the early lead. Carson scored after assists by Kalina Stanisic and Anna-McCall Johnson.
ONU's Sofia Diaz scored a second period goal for the Tigers.
Bethel had a 17-9 advantage in shots and an 8-7 margin in shots on goal.
Bethel returns to action Saturday traveling to John Brown University.
