Women’s Soccer Rallies for Conference Win at Lindsey Wilson
COLUMBIA, Ky. – The (RV) Bethel Lady Wildcats jumped back into league action Wednesday traveling to Lindsey Wilson.
Bethel looked to keep the momentum going after a 2-nil non-conference home win Monday over Central Baptist.
The Cats did just that with a 2-1 win over the Blue Raiders. LWC led 1-nil at the break. Ainhoa Chirivella scored her team-high fourth goal of the season to tie the game at the 53:40 mark. The game winner came with just nine minutes left when Sterre Van Bloemendaal scored her first career goal as a Wildcat.
The Wildcats had a commanding 20-7 advantage in shots and a 9-4 margin in shots on goal. Alicia Perez recorded three saves for the Wildcats.
Bethel improved to 7-2 and overall and 2-1 in the MSC.
Lindsey Wilson dropped to 3-7 and 1-1.
Bethel returns to action on October 10 traveling to long-time rival Freed-Hardeman. Play begins at 5 p.m. in Henderson.
