Lady Cats Fall to # 3 Cumberlands
MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Lady Wildcats fell to No. 3 Cumberlands (Ky.) Friday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium.
A first period goal gave the Patriots a 1-nil lead at the break.
UC scored again at the 59:21 mark of the second period to lead 2-nil. The visitors from Eastern Kentucky would go on to win by that score.
Cumberlands had a 12-9 advantage in shots and a 7-4 margin in shots on goal.
Bethel's Alicia Perez recorded five saves for the Wildcats.
The game marked the first of the season Bethel failed to score.
Bethel dropped to 5-2 overall and 1-1 in the MSC. The Patriots improved to 8-0-2 and 2-0.
Bethel returns to the pitch Monday at 4 p.m. hosting Central Baptist at Wildcat Stadium.
