Lady Wildcats Fall at No. 18 Lindsey Wilson
COLUMBIA, Ky. –The Bethel Lady Wildcats gave up six goals in the second period and fell at No. 18 Lindsey Wilson Wednesday night in Columbia.
Bethel led one-nil at the break. Johanna Veldhuizen scored on an assist from Nathalie Rojas to give the Cats the lead.
The Blue Raiders exploded for three straight goals to take a 3-1 lead in the second period. Bethel answered on unassisted scores by Elle Carson and Jimena Hernandez to tie the match. LWC scored three goals in the last twenty minutes however and won 6-3.
The Raiders had a 19-15 margin in shots and 11-9 advantage in shots on goal.
Bethel dropped to 6-5-3 overall and 2-4-2 in the MSC.
LWC improved to 6-4-3 and 6-1-1.
The Lady Cats will be back in action traveling to (RV) Campbellsville Saturday for another MSC tilt. Action begins at 5 p.m. CST.
