Lady Cats & Lady Tigers Finish in a Draw

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The (RV) Bethel Lady Wildcats snapped a three game losing streak finishing in a 1-1 draw with the Georgetown Tigers Wednesday night at Wildcat Stadium.

The Lady Tigers scored with 7:54 remaining in the first half on a goal by Kylie Hudgins.

Georgetown would go on to lead 1-nil at the break.

The Cats got the equalizer with 34:50 left in the second. Ainhoa Chirivella scored on a penalty kick to even the match.

Both squads had their scoring chances, but neither could break the tie.

Bethel had a 13-11 margin in shots on goal and a 19-15 advantage in shots on goal.

Alicia Perez had 10 saves for Bethel. She had huge rejections in the last minute of the contest to preserve the tie. Daysia Thompson had 12 saves for the Tigers. 

Bethel closed the night at 5-4-3 and 1-3-2 while GC is 4-6-2 and 1-4-1.

The Lady Cats remain at home for another MSC match on Saturday. They host Shawnee State at 1 p.m.

It will be Senior Day for the Lady Cats. Ceremonies will take place at halftime of the match.
