COACH CHRIS NELSON INDIVIDUAL BASKETBALL CAMP UNDERWAY
MCKENZIE, Tenn. -Coming off a successful week of team camp, Bethel University Head Women's Basketball Coach Chris Nelson and the Lady Wildcats opened their Annual Individual Camp this week with area young future stars in attendance. The morning sessions involved the 1st through fifth grade campers. The afternoon sessions consist of sixth through ninth grade campers.
With the assistance of his coaching staff and several of his players, Coach Nelson stressed the campers having fun but also working hard to learn the fundamentals of the game.
Nelson commented on the players and the experience. "We just finished a wonderful week of team camps hosting over seventy-five high school and middle school teams, and it is no better way to follow it up than with our individual camp this week. We have over eighty enrolled in this week's camp and they are full of energy. Our players and staff really look forward to this week because we can get involved and help teach and coach the game that has given us all so much. It is also special for our staff to see familiar faces and new ones added this year. This week also gives us an opportunity to be around our players and interact with our new ones during the summertime."
