Cold Shooting Night Cost Lady Cats in MSC Tournament

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A cold shooting night proved to be too much to overcome for the Bethel Lady Wildcats Friday night in the quarterfinals of the Mid-South Conference tournament in Bowling Green. The No. 2 seeded Cumberlands Patriots upended   the No. 7 seeded Cats 80-52.

Bethel shot 29 percent from the floor and hit just 2-of-19 three-point attempts. The Cats hit 16-of-19 free throw attempts.

UC shot 43 percent from the field and hit 8-of -21 three-point tries. The Pats hit 24-of-32 free throw attempts.

UC had a 37-36 advantage in rebounds.

The Lady Cats had 18 turnovers while the Pats had 13 in the game.

Madison Hart led Bethel with 18 points. Kaylie Monday (20) and Kassie Monday (16) led the Patriots. 

The Cats dropped to 13-16 while UC moved to 21-8 and will play the winner of the Georgetown/ Cumberland game in the semifinals Sunday.
