Lady Cats Fall at Georgetown
GEORGETOWN, Ky. -The road in the Mid-South Conference can be tough year in and year out and this year is no different.
The Bethel Lady Wildcats fell at Georgetown 70-52 Saturday to fall to 2-6 on the road this season and 13-11 overall. The Cats are 0-8 in the MSC.
The No.11 Tigers are 21-4 and 6-3 in the league. GC is 14-1 at home on the season.
The Tigers lead the series 6-3.
Bethel shot 32 percent from the field and was 5 -of -23 from behind the three-point arc. Georgetown shot 34 percent and was 8-of-36 from deep.
GC had a 34-19 advantage in bench points. Bethel committed 12 turnovers. The Tigers had a 13-2 margin in points off turnovers. GC had a 48-30 advantage in rebounds.
Anya Patterson led Bethel with 13 points. Madison Hart finished with 12 points while Aliya Lee had 10 points.
A J Stevenson and Trinity Klock each had 16 points for Georgetown.
Bethel returns to action Thursday hosting No. 3 Campbellsville. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m. CT.
The Lady Tigers beat Bethel 82-61 in Campbellsville in January.
