Joseph Skoog Wins Live in Louisville Cross Country Classic

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Bethel's Joseph Skoog won the Silver Division of the Louisville Cross Country Classic in Louisville, Kentucky Saturday. His time of 24:49 broke his own 8K school record in a field of 389 runners. Skoog beat the next closest runner by 35 seconds in a race featuring several NAIA and several Divisions I, II and III schools.

Cedrion Cook and Stetson Childress were the next best performers for the Wildcats finishing 53rd and 68th. San'Darius Coleman finished 106th, Ariel Devoto 168th Braden Wallace 233rd, and Chandler Roberson 255th.

 

The Wildcats finished 10th out of 48 teams competing in the event.

Coach Brandon Kilburn commented, "Individually, we had some unbelievable performances with Joseph winning by a wide margin. I thought it was his best in a Wildcat uniform. I thought we competed, but we would have liked to have been a little better team wise. We are battling some injuries as is every team in America right now, but we will have an off week before back- to -back race weekends in mid- October. "
