Men’s Soccer Up to Challenge at Williams Baptist

Walnut RIDGE, Ark. – The No. 16 Bethel Wildcats faced the Eagles of Williams Baptist Tuesday in Walnut Ridge.  Bethel remained unbeaten with a 2-nil win. 

The Cats took a 1-nil lead with just under seven minutes to play in the first period. Gregory Cousins scored on an assist from Stanley Isaac to give Bethel the lead.  

Bethel added a goal at the 56:11 mark to secure the victory. Luka Mrvic added the insurance goal. 

Bethel moved to 6-0 on the season while the Eagles dropped to 3-3.

The Wildcats had a 14-6 advantage in shots and a 7-2 margin in shots on goal.

Norberto Lima Vieira recorded two saves for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats return to action Saturday traveling to Missouri Baptist.
