Soccer Cats use Second Period Explosion to Rout Bryan College

DAYTON, Tenn. – The No. 24 Bethel Wildcats used a five goal second period to beat Bryan College 7-1 Wednesday afternoon in Dayton, Tennessee. The Cats ran their record to 2-0 while the Lions fell to 0-1.

Gregory Cousins and Mountaga Sall scored goals in the first period to give Bethel a 2-0 lead at the break.

Cousins scored again in the second stanza. Stanley Isaac scored twice in the period while Don Alvin Oguta and Alvarez Cooper also scored for the Cats.

Bryan scored in the period for the 7-1 score.

Norberto Lima Vieira recorded seven saves in the match.

Bethel had a 19-7 advantage in shots and 11-4 margin in shots on goal.

Bethel plays their home opener Friday at 2 p.m. hosting Tennessee Wesleyan.
