Wildcats Fall to Lindsey Wilson in MSC Championship Match

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The No. 2 seeded Bethel Wildcats and the No. 4 seeded Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders met Friday afternoon at Wildcat Stadium in McKenzie with the Mid-South Conference Tournament title on the line.

The Blue Raiders scored early on a goal by Sadam Masereka. The unassisted goal came at the 2:30 mark. Lindsey Wilson took a 2-nil advantage on an unassisted goal by Alexander Koziiolek. The score came with six minutes left in the first period. LWC took that margin into the break.

The Wildcats cut the lead in half with an Adrian Musubi goal at the 54:20 mark.

Both teams had scoring opportunities, but the Blue Raiders held on for the win and in doing so received the automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships.

Bethel had a 13-11 advantage in shots.  Lindsey Wilson had an 8-4 margin in shots on goal.

Norberto Lima Vieira recorded six saves in the match. Pablo Costa   had three saves for the Blue Raiders.     

Bethel dropped to 12-4-3. Lindsey Wilson moved to 10-6-3.
