Soccer Cats Beat Shawnee State on Senior Day

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Wildcats celebrated Senior Day with a 2-0 win over Shawnee State Saturday afternoon.

Seniors Ivan Dario Cuervo, Emmanuel Ezema, Adrian Musubi, Jordan Petrekia and Tim Relou were honored during the game.

Sergio Baguena scored two goals in the second half to give the Cats the 2-0 victory. Adrian Musubi had the assist on Bethel's first goal.

Bethel had a 12-6 margin in shots and an 8-4 advantage in shots on goal. Norberto Lima Vieira recorded four saves for the Wildcats.

The Wildcats improved to 9-2-2 and 5-2 in the MSC.

The Bears dropped to 9-5 and 3-4.

Bethel returns to action Wednesday traveling to Lindsey Wilson for another key MSC match. Action begins in Columbia at 7 p.m. CST

It will be the first of three straight road games to close out the regular season for the Cats.
