
Second Period Scoring Binge Leads Cats to Win over Tigers
MCKENZIE, Tenn. –A second half offensive outburst led the (RV) Bethel Wildcats to a 4-1 win over visiting Georgetown Wednesday night at Wildcat Stadium.
Bethel had led 1-0 at the end of the first period. Milos Stajkovic scored on an assist from Jermaine Murhead to give the Cats the 1-nil advantage.
In the second period, the Cats hit their stride with goals from Nicolas Ruiz and Adrian Musubi to take a 3-0 lead. Georgetown scored to make it 3-1. Gregory Cousins scored Bethel's final goal after an assist from Pablo Ramirez. Isaac Stanley also had an assist in the second period.
Bethel outshot GC 18-12 and had a 10-9 margin in shots on goal. Norberto Lima Vieira recorded eight saves for the Wildcats.
The Cats improved to 8-2-2 and 4-2 in the league. The Tigers fell to 6-2-5 and 1-2-3.
The Wildcats are back in action Saturday hosting Shawnee State at 3:30 p.m. Senior Day ceremonies will take place before the match.
