MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The No. 22 Bethel Wildcats used two second period goals by Mountaga Sall to beat rival UT Southern 2-0 Wednesday night in Wildcat Stadium.

The Cats outshot the visitor from Pulaski 10-7 and had a 7-5 advantage in shots on goal.

Sall scored at the 45:52 and 64:39 marks. Isaac Stanley had the assist on the second goal.  The Wildcat defense was anchored by Norberto Lima Vieira who recorded five saves on the night. 

Bethel improved to 6-1-2 and 2-1 in the MSC.

UTS fell to 7-2 and 2-1.  The loss snapped a UTS five game winning streak.

The Cats are back in action Saturday at Cumberland University. Action begins at 3:30 p.m.
