Cats & Tennessee Wesleyan Finish in Hard-Fought Tie
ATHENS, Tenn. – The Bethel Wildcats jumped back into action Friday traveling to Athens, Tennessee to meet the (RV) Tennessee Wesleyan Bulldogs.
Both squads entered the fray at 1-0.
TWU jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a goal by Wynand Wessels in the first period. The match stayed that way until just under five minutes remaining in the second period. Bethel's Adrian Musubi scored on an assist by Isaac Stanley and knotted the affair at 1-1.
The Cats and Dogs finished tied by that score.
Bethel had an 11-5 advantage in shots but TWU had a 5-2 margin in shots on goal.
Norberto Lima Vieira recorded four saves in the match.
The Cats will be back in action Thursday traveling to Owensboro to meet the Brescia Bearcats at 7 p.m.
