No. 14 Lindsey Wilson Edges Wildcats on Senior Night
MCKENZIE, Tenn. –It was Senior Night for the Bethel Wildcats Saturday night at Wildcat Stadium. The Cats played host to No. 14 Lindsey Wilson.
The match turned into a physical and defensive battle between the two MSC foes. The Blue Raiders edged the Cats 1-0. The only score came at the 61:05 mark on a goal by LWC'S Nathaniel Onyina Opo.
The Raiders outshot the Cats 9-5. Each squad was held to just one shot on goal.
Bethel fell to 9-5-1 and 4-4 in the MSC. LWC is 9-1-1 and 8 -0 in the league. The Blue Raiders have won eight straight.
It was Senior Night for the Wildcats. Alejandro Costales, Joshua McNaught, Justice Nmeregini, Pascal Mohungsi, Don Abare, Brandon Akem, Rodrigo Atilano, Callum McKenna, Gian-Luca Schunke, Juan Penegos, Alphonso Gooden, Joao Rizzon, Emmanuel Ezema, and James Whitehead were honored at the half.
The Cats are back in action Thursday at Pikeville with play beginning at 5:30 CST.
