Old Rivals Meet Again in Men’s Soccer
PULASKI, Tenn. – When the Bethel Wildcats travel to Pulaski Saturday to face the UT Southern (formerly Martin Methodist) FireHawks it will mark the 25th meeting between the two programs. After beating the Hawks earlier this year in the abbreviated season, Bethel seized a 15-7-2 advantage in the series.
After their 1-0 home win over Cumberland University Wednesday, the Cats take a 7-2-1 record to Pulaski. Bethel is 2-1 in the MSC. The Wildcats are 3-1 in road action on the season.
UTS is 4-5 after their win over Asbury Thursday night. The Hawks are 1-2 in league play.
Sergio Baguena and Alphonso Gooden lead Bethel is scoring with four goals each. Pascal Mohungsi leads the Cats with seven assists. He also has three goals. Norberto Lima Vieira has recorded 40 saves on the year.
Bethel has outscored their opponents 19-12 on the season.
