Men’s Soccer Takes Road Win at Thomas More

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The No. 21 Bethel Wildcats bounced back from a tough road loss at Georgetown Thursday to win at Thomas More Saturday afternoon. The Cats moved to 6-2-1 with a 3-1 victory. Bethel evened their MSC record to 1-1. Thomas More dropped to 2-3-1 and 0-2.

Nicolas Ruiz put the Cats ahead with a first period score. Pascal Mohungsi was credited with the assist.

After TMU tied the match in the second, Mohungsi put the Wildcats back in front after an assist from Don Obare.  Mohungsi scored again to give the Wildcats the 3-1 lead. Mountaga Sall had the assist.

Bethel had a 14-8 advantage in shots and a 7-6 margin in shots on goal.

Coach Malang Jarju commented, "This was a hard win today. I am proud of how we bounced back from a tough road loss and the way we responded is what we expected. We are looking to progress in the conference, and we know we need to take it game to game and day to day to achieve our objectives." 

The Wildcats return home to face MSC foe Cumberland University Wednesday at 7 p.m.
