Bio

Tavis Carr enters his third season as assistant coach of the Bethel University bowling program in 2023-24. He is also an armed security officer with Bethel's department of security.

Carr is a former Bethel student-athlete. He transferred from Victory University in Memphis, Tenn., in 2013. During his career as a Wildcat, he helped Bethel win the 2017 Green River Classic in Campbellsville, Ky. Carr was also a two-time Bethel bowling sportsmanship award recipient and three-time Academic All-Conference honoree in the Mid-South Conference.

Carr graduated from Bethel in December 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Studies. He obtained his Silver Coach Certification with the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) as of February 2022. Outside of bowling, he is a minister. He obtained his preaching license in May 2023 from New Reedy Creek Missionary Baptist Church in McLemoresville, Tenn., where he is currently the associate minister.

A native of Florida, Carr presently resides in McKenzie.
