Bio

Clay Boyd enters his 14th season at the helm of the Wildcat bowling program in 2023-24. Boyd looks to continue building with great junior and senior leadership. Last year, Boyd produced six Academic All Americans. He was also named the 2012-2013 Bethel University Club Sport Coach of the Year, and the 2013-2014 Mid -South Conference co-coach of the Year. Boyd began his coaching career at Bethel University in 2009 as the men’s and women’s bowling coach. Coach Boyd used his first year as coach to recruit team members.

Boyd bowled collegiately at the University of Pikeville during the 2002-2003 season. That season, Boyd was a member of a team that competed at the USBC national tournament for the USBC National Championship.

Coach Boyd graduated in 2007 from Murray State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Wellness and Leisure Services. Boyd and his wife, Kristin have a daughter, Kayleigh and a son, Cason.
