Jeff Britt enters his 25th year as the head men's basketball coach at Bethel University and his 30th year as a collegiate head coach in 2024-25. His all-time record as a head coach is 521-376 and includes 11 seasons with 20-plus wins. Coach Britt led Bethel to five consecutive winning seasons from 2001-06 and nine consecutive winning seasons from 2011-20. He currently ranks seventh for most wins among active NAIA Division I men's basketball coaches. Other career highlights include an East Region tournament championship, an NAIA Division II Sweet Sixteen appearance, a KIAC tournament championship runner-up finish, a 2015 NAIA Division I National Tournament appearance, a 2019 National Tournament appearance where his team advanced to the Sweet Sixteen, several NAIA All-Americans, and, most proudly, 11 NAIA Academic All-Americans and several all-conference selections. His 2004-05 team led the entire NAIA in team rebounding margin, and his teams have been ranked near the top of the NAIA in that category each season during his tenure. Coach Britt was named Coach of the Year in the East Region in 2002 as well as in the TranSouth Conference during the 2012-13 season. He has also seen 12 former players become coaches, with six being head coaches and three former assistants obtain head coaching positions.

Prior to arriving at Bethel, Coach Britt spent five years at Saint Catharine Junior College in Saint Catharine, Kentucky, where he was athletic director, assistant men's basketball coach and head women's basketball coach. At Saint Catharine, he posted a 108-43 overall record for a .715 winning percentage, the best in school history. Those teams recorded four seasons with 20-plus wins, ranked in the NJCAA Division I top 20 for four consecutive years and broke more than 20 school records. During his last four years at SCC, Coach Britt's teams were noted for their fast-paced style and were ranked in the top five in the country for scoring. The 1997-98 squad was second in the nation for scoring averaging 93.1 points per game. He was named Kentucky Junior College Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in the 1995-96 season and had several players continue their playing career at the NAIA, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division I level. In five seasons, the program produced five NCAA Division I players and nine NCAA Division II players.

At age 23, Coach Britt got his first full-time collegiate coaching position as the top men's basketball assistant at Mid-South Conference power Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia, Kentucky, under then-Head Coach Tom Wethington. Before Lindsey Wilson, he was a student assistant at Brescia College in Owensboro, Kentucky, where he earned four varsity letters, was voted team captain, earned MVP honors twice, and was the school's all-time leading scorer and rebounder along with several other statistical categories. A 1984 graduate of Sedalia High School in Graves County, Kentucky, he was selected All-District, All-Regional, and All-State honorable mention twice during his prep basketball career. Coach Britt currently holds a 30-year membership with the National Association of Basketball Coaches. He earned a B.A. from Brescia College in social science and an M.A.Ed. from Western Kentucky University. He has been named "Who's Who Among America's Teachers and Educators" twice during his career. He was selected as a court coach for the USA men's basketball 19 and under team that won the gold medal in Greece in 2019, where he worked on the staff with Bruce Weber, head coach at Kansas State University.

In his spare time, he enjoys fishing, working on his home and spending time with his family. Coach Britt is married to the former Denise Connell. They have seven beautiful daughters: Katie Bennett, who with husband Colin has one son, Beck (age 5); Alleigh Elizabeth, age 12, who attends McKenzie Elementary School; Ashleigh Nicole, age 19, who is a sophomore at the University of Martin; Martha, age 21, who is a junior at the University of Mississippi; Caleigh Jo, age 22, a graduate of University of Tennessee; Lillian, age 24, a recent graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder; and Carissa Leigh, age 25, a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee. Coach Britt is the son of the late Gussie and H.C. Britt, Sr. of Sedalia, Kentucky.
