Cats Fall to LWC on Senior Night
MCKENZIE, Tenn. - The Bethel Wildcats held a 44-36 lead at the half Thursday night, but Lindsey Wilson outscored the Cats 48-35 in the second half to beat the Wildcats 84-79.
It was Senior Night in Crisp Arena with Querrion Gadson, Jose Nazario, and Hayden Thomas honored in pre-game ceremonies.
Bethel shot 50 percent from the floor while LWC shot 52 percent from the field.
Bethel hit 19-of-31 free throw attempts. The Raiders hit 24-of-35 tries from the line.
The Blue Raiders outrebounded the Cats 34-26.
Bethel's Gadson had a game high 29 points. Connor Guthrie had 13 points while Brennon Marsh had 10 points and a game high ten rebounds.
Kenyata Carbon led LWC with 28 points.
The Wildcats dropped to 14-13- overall and 3-8 in the MSC. Bethel is 127-55 all-time in Crisp which opened in 2012.
The Blue Raiders moved to 15-11 and 6-5 in the league.
The Cats close out their regular season Saturday at the University of the Cumberlands. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m.
UC leads the series 5-1.
