Cats Snap Losing Streak with Home Win against Tigers

MCKENZIE, Tenn. - The Bethel University Wildcats snapped a five-game losing streak with a hard fought 81-76 home victory over Campbellsville Thursday night in Crisp Arena.

The Wildcats led 37-32 at the break. Both teams scored 44 points each in the second half.

Both squads shot the ball well. Campbellsville shot 51 percent from the field while the Wildcats shot 57 percent from the floor.

Both teams had 17 free throw attempts and both squads hit 11 of their attempts.

Bethel had a 30-22 advantage in rebounding.

Querrion Gadson led Bethel with a game high 28 points. Tyler Neely had 17 points. Ethan Turner had a double- double   with 11 points and 11 boards.

Cobe Penny Led the Tigers with 25 points.

Coach Jeff Britt said, "It is great to get back on track with a nice win. I thought our shot selection was a big key. We took good shots and that paid off for us. We will take this team win and prepare for a Cumberland squad Saturday."

Cumberland lost took No. 8 FHU 102-61 Thursday night. 

The Cats and Phoenix tip-off at 3 p.m.
