Tigers Outshoot Wildcats
GEORGETOWN, Ky. – The Bethel Wildcats and the No. 13 Georgetown Tigers met for the 15th time Saturday afternoon. GC moved to a 12-3 advantage in the series with 78-57 victory in Georgetown.
Bethel dropped their fifth straight and fell to 12-12 and 1-7 in the MSC. GC snapped a two-game losing streak and moved to 18-6 and 5-4. The Tigers are 12-2 at home on the year.
Bethel trailed 40-29 at the half and was outscored 38-28 in the second half.
Cold shooting hurt the Cats as they were just 1-of-9 from behind the arc. Bethel shot 33 percent from the floor overall. Georgetown shot 50 percent from the field and hit five treys.
The Tigers had a 43-39 margin in rebounds.
Jose Nazario led Bethel with 11 points.
Jabrion Spikes led the Tigers with 14 points.
The Wildcats are back in action Thursday hosting Campbellsville at 7:30 p.m. CT.
