Cats Travel to Blue Mountain for Johnnie Armstrong Classic
BLUE MOUNTAIN, MS – Sporting a 6-3 mark, the Bethel Wildcats continue a stretch of non-conference games with two games this weekend in the Johnnie Armstrong Classic at Blue Mountain University. The Wildcats are coming off a 70-58 win at Oakland City on Tuesday. Bethel had dropped two straight conference road affairs before the non-conference victory over the Mighty Oaks.
The Cats meet Mississippi University for Women at 5:30 p.m. Friday and then face Southeastern Baptist at noon Saturday. BMC will serve as they host school and play Southeastern Baptist Friday and then close out the classic Saturday afternoon against MUW after the Bethel game.
MUW enters the field at 0-7. It will be the second meeting between the two with Bethel winning the lone game against the Owls 107-60 in 2018.
The Southeastern Baptist Chargers are 0-18 on the season. It will be the first meeting ever between the two programs.

The Cats average 77.6 points per game and yield 67.8 per outing.
Jon Brown leads Bethel in scoring at 12.4 points per game. Drew Thomas follows with 12.1 per contest. Kamron Rose averages 10.3 while Jamarius Mayberry pops in 10.2 per game.
Bethel out rebounds their opponents 41-35 per game.
Wildcat senior Jarred Walker has 369 career assists entering the weekend. Walker is two away from tying LeRoy Bell for 11th on the all-time Bethel list. Walker has 189 career steals. He just passed former Bethel great Matt Rooks for 5th on the all-time list.
Brown is a member of the 1,000-point club with 1, 094 career points.
With the win at Oakland City, Coach Jeff Britt moved closer to win # 500. Britt has now won 487 games in his career. Three hundred and eighty one of those have been at Bethel.
