Bethel University B.A.S.S. team moves from 9th to 8th place as one of the Top Ten College Fishing Teams in the Nation

MCKENZIE, Tenn. - The Bethel University Bass Team saw action this past weekend on both the Harris Chain of Lakes and Lake Tohoe, both in the great state of Florida.

Fishing the Major League Fishing tournament held on The Harris Chain of Lakes just a few days prior to the national championship, Bethel University Anglers Kolton Drawdy and partner Hunter Shelton caught and weighed in enough largemouth bass to place them in third in the competition. Bethel's Chase Milholen and partner Colton Harbin placed 16th to round out the university's top two teams in the competition. Bethel competed with over 225 boats during the one- day competition.

The ACA rankings are based on each school's top two competing teams in each tournament during the year.

Moving on to the Major League National Championship, Bethel placed 29th with the team of Joseph Wood and partner Anthony Cicero. The team of Colton Harbin and Chase Milholen finished in 50th place. These were the top two boats for Bethel.

"Hats off to our guys at both events," said Coach Garry Mason. "The whole team is working hard to continue to remain in the top ten of the nation and continue our winning legacy here at Bethel," said Mason.

With nearly half of the ranking season left, it's going to be exciting to watch and see just where the Bethel Bass Team winds up in this strong competition competing against the biggest schools in the nation.
