Two Wildcats Named Mid-South Conference Football Players of The Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bethel's Jaylen Taylor and Andrew Welch were named Mid-South Conference Football Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

 MSC Football Offensive Player of the Week

Jaylen Taylor – Bethel (Tenn.) – Gr. – Wide Receiver – Grandview, Ind.

• Taylor had six receptions for 101 yards and two touchdowns in Bethel's 30-10 victory over Cumberlands (Ky).
• He averaged 16.8 yards per catch with a long of 26.
• Taylor's touchdowns totaled 11 and 24 yards.
• He earns weekly honors for the first time this season and in his career.

 MSC Football Special Teams Player of the Week

Andrew Welch – Bethel – Fr. – Kicker – Clarksville, Tenn.

• Welch connected on three field goals and three extra points in the Wildcats' victory over Cumberlands.
• His field goals totaled 22, 42, 49 yards in length.
• Welch earns weekly honors for the first time this season and in his career.
