Former Wildcat Signs with Edmonton Elks of Canadian Football League

EDMONOTON, Alberta - The Edmonton Elks announced the signing of former Bethel University standout Nick Andrews Tuesday.

The six-foot-four defensive lineman played his senior year at Bethel University (2022), registering 23 total tackles, one sack, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries in 11 games. Prior to Bethel, he spent two seasons at Peru State College in Nebraska (2020-2021), where he had 31 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 10 games as a junior.

Andrews was the only NAIA player to play in the 2023 Tropical Bowl, a postseason College All-Star game held at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.

Bethel Head Coach Michael Jasper said, "I am very proud of Nick signing with the Elks. He has been a joy to coach and his work ethic has gotten him to where he is today.   I can't wait to see where that determination takes him as a professional football player."

The Edmonton Elks are a professional Canadian football team based in Edmonton, Alberta. The club competes in the Canadian Football League as a member of the league's West Division and plays their home games at the Brick Field at Commonwealth Stadium.
