Ten Wildcats Named as 2022 Daktronics NAIA Football Scholar-Athletes

 KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has published the 2022 Daktronics NAIA Football Scholar-Athletes with over 900 student-athletes honored. Eastern Oregon edges out Carroll (Mont.) and Morningside (Iowa) for the most recognition by one program. The Mountaineers sport 30 scholar-athletes followed closely by 28 for the Saints and 27 by the Mustangs. 

Ten Bethel University Wildcats were named to the team.

Amari Chapman, Andre Neal, Andrew Welch, Briley Gooch, Brody Franks, Elijah Wood, Hunter Scott, Jaaron Taylor, Jacob Bowles, and Jevediah Windham earned all-academic status.

This Fall, the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete programs recognizes football players from 89 institutions. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
