Bethel’s Gilbert Named Mid-South Conference & NAIA Football Special Teams Player of the Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Demetrice Gilbert is the Mid-South Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

Gilbert also was named NAIA Player of the Week.

Demetrice Gilbert – Bethel (Tenn.) – Jr. – Defensive Back – Atlanta, Ga.

• Gilbert had a 96 yard kick-off for a touchdown in the win over Lindsey Wilson.
• Bethel was trailing 10-7 before Gilbert returned the kick.
• Gilbert earns weekly honors for the first time this season and in his career.
