MSC Announces Bluegrass Division Football Players of the Week
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -- Bethel's (Tenn.) Vonte Bates and Nolan Chowbay and Pikeville's (Ky.) Jakob Headley are the Mid-South Conference Bluegrass Division Football Players of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

MSC Bluegrass Defensive Player of the Week
Vonte Bates - Bethel (Tenn.) - Sr. - Defensive Back – Watertown, Tenn.
Bates returned an interception 32 yards for a touchdown in Bethel's 50-15 win over Union (Ky.) on Saturday.
The Bates' score extended the Wildcats lead to 21-9 early in the second quarter -- part of 43 unanswered points for Bethel in the win.
Bates added eight tackles, including a tackle for a loss.
This season, Bates is averaging 7.3 tackles per game.
Bates earns his first career MSC weekly honor.
MSC Bluegrass Offensive Player of the Week
Nolan Chowbay – Bethel (Tenn.) - Sr. - Quarterback – Nashville, Tenn.
Chowbay threw for 380 yards and four touchdowns in Bethel's win on Saturday.
He completed 16-of-28 passes, averaging 23.8 yards per completion.
Chowbay connected from eight, 35, 65, and 71 yards on his four touchdown tosses.
Chowbay ranks fourth in the NAIA, averaging 320 passing yards per game.
His 10 touchdown passes this season are tied for fifth in the NAIA.
Chowbay earns the first MSC weekly honor of his career.
The Wildcats are home this week for the first time on the season, hosting No. 7 Reinhardt. Kick-off is slated for 1:30 p.m. CST.
