Bethel Rocket League Advances to Playoffs

MCKENZIE, Tenn. - The Bethel Rocket League team finished third in the NECC Navigators Appalachia Conference. They will now transition into the playoffs this Friday at 6:30pm to take on the Louisville Gold eSports team.

Bethel defeated Louisville Gold earlier this season 3-1 in a best of five series.

Coach Matthew Ellis had this to say about his eSports team, "I am beyond blessed to coach this team and watch them grow since their first week. I am even more excited we have found our groove and peaked at the right time. Our squad is primarily from West Tennessee. One player is from Camden, one from Henry County, and two from Huntingdon. I want to give a special shoutout to Will Singleton, as he is the lone player that is not a freshman on the team. He has helped guide the team and has been the player bringing experience to the table."

Ellis added, "These players this year have competed and shown flashes of great potential. In many contests, Jaggar Floyd and Connor Cox showed that they can compete and play well together. Jacob Stoner has played well coming in while transitioning as our anchor and subbing whenever we need to use a different playstyle. I want to send a special shoutout as well to these guys since they are getting ready to compete in the playoffs. We want to thank everyone that has supported and watched us whenever they could this year. We hope that people tune in and go Wildcats!"
