Cats Take Series Finale against FHU

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Wildcats used a four run sixth inning to win the final game of their three -game series against the Freed-Hardeman Lions Tuesday. The Wildcats staved off a late inning FHU rally to win.

The Cats won 5-4 to push their record to 15-16 overall and 3-8 in the MSC.

 Freed fell to 24-15 and 5-4. The loss snapped a Lion seven game win streak.

Jared Hall, Luis Aristud, and Adriel Vega (2) drove in key runs in the inning. Jack Beck drove in a run earlier in the game.

Bethel outhit the visitors from Henderson 11-7 but left 14 men on base. FHU stranded 10 runners. CJ Thomas, Vega, Beck, and Zach Griffith each had two hits for the Wildcats.

Zach Zimmer picked up the Wildcat win.

The Cats return to action Friday traveling to Georgetown for another key MSC series.
