Bat Cats Outslug Oaks on Senior Day

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The Bethel Wildcats closed out their regular season home schedule Tuesday hosting the Oakland City Oaks on Senior Day.

Seniors, Paden New, Ryan White, Noah Hawkins, Bryan Catala, Tyler Proctor, and Alexis Rodriguez were honored in pre-game ceremonies.

The seniors left Wildcat Park with memories of a day to always remember.

The Cats scored in every inning except the first enroute to a 17-12 victory.

Eight different Wildcats drove in runs in the game. Jared Hall drove in six runs.

Oakland City used seven different pitchers while Bethel sent six different hurlers to the hill.

Forty-eight different players appeared in the game.

It was the 16th game of the year Bethel has scored 10 or more runs in a game. The Cats are 15-1 in those games.

The (RV) Wildcats moved to 28-11 while the Oaks saw their seven-game winning streak snapped and dropped to 35-14.

The Wildcats close out the regular season this weekend, traveling to Campbellsville, Kentucky to battle the Tigers of Campbellsville. The teams play a single game Friday at 3 p.m. and a doubleheader Saturday at noon.
