Cats Sweep Doubleheader over Culver-Stockton

MCKENZIE, Tenn. – After splitting their doubleheader Friday with Culver-Stockton, the Bethel Wildcats swept the visitors from Missouri Saturday winning 5-4 and 9-3.

The Cats moved to 3-1 on the season while CSU dropped to 1-3.

Game one saw the Wildcats win in dramatic fashion as Jared Hall drove in the winning run with an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh.

 Bethel outhit Culver-Stockton 8-6.

 Noah Foster drove in two runs. Noah Hawkins and Luis Aristud had RBI's as well.

Nathan Rhodes picked up the Bethel victory.

Game two saw Bethel jump out to an early lead. The Cats scored two runs in the first and five runs in the second inning.

 A two run fifth added the final icing on the cake for the Bat Cats.

Hall had two RBI's; Foster continued his outstanding start driving in three runs. Zach Griffith drove in three runs while Ivan Vega had an RBI.

 Lucas Smith was the winner with six strong innings.

The Wildcats return to the diamond next weekend with doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday at home against Calumet (Ind).
